SINGLE ENTRY: Risk Safety Systems (RSSUS) are North American distributors for Escape Chute Systems and worldwide for the Onshore/Offshore Oil & Gas Industry.

The single chute can be installed in old or existing building where there is no possibility of incorporating the "Multi-Entry" chute. The chute installation can be at window, balcony or rooftop providing means of escape for the occupants of that particular floor. This exterior chute is constructed of 3 layers, the outer layer is fire resistant - protects the chute against flames, the middle layer provides a speed restraining effect, and the inner layer supports the whole weight of chute. This 3-way protection protects the evacuees once inside the chute from fire, heat, and smoke during evacuation. Available in a maximum length of 200m. The longest such chute in use to date is 122m at Intraco Building, Warsaw, Poland.

The single-entry chute platform is custom-designed each application. Some installation site may require minor alterations to the fabrics of the structure to accommodate the custom-designed platform. The platform can be supplied as a permanent or portable installation. The portable escape chute and container are stored, in the case of an emergency the chute and container are placed into the chute cradle, this a permanent fixture and is located on a window balcony, hand railings or another suitable location, RSSUS agree position prior to sale.

Buildings vary significantly in terms of design, height, size, structure, construction, etc, the customer would need to know where the proposed location for the single-entry chute will be. This is required for our design engineer’s.and would include the following:

•  Where would the platform be installed… at rooftop, balcony, window, corridor, etc.?

•  What are the building materials at the installation site, tiles, marble, cement, brick, etc?

•  Are there any limitations or constraints to the installation area or floor space for the installation of the platform.

•  Photos or simple sketches of the installation would be helpful and would greatly assist our design team.

It is very important for our design department to have all the necessary measurements of the proposed installation site prior to design.

Correct measurements will save time and money, especially during the installation.

(A) Window Unit Installation

  1. Would the platform be installed outside or inside of the window/building?
  2. The distance between the floor and top of the window parapet.
  3. The distance between the window and the next window or wall (left and right).
  4. The distance between the ceiling (wall/floor) and the window.
  5. The distance between window frame horizontal (inner) when window is open.
  6. The distance between window frame vertical (inner) when window is open.
  7. The width/depth of the window parapet wall.
  8. Is there any decoration outside of the wall (obstruction), the distance between the obstruction and the wall?
  9. Allowable floor space inside of the window for the platform.
  10. In which direction the window opens: slide, inward, outward, etc.

11  The distance between the window parapet to the ground level minus 80cm.
